Dear Parents \ Carers,

Please follow the link to this week's newsletter and see details of continued remote learning, including links to live Teams meetings below.

Staff have been working hard to continue to create extensive online lessons, work packs and resources for Stage 2 of our remote learning plan. Over the past week, we have seen high levels of engagement online, and this has continued to rise as the week has progressed, so thank you! As before, all documents and details of each classes remote learning can now be found on the website by following this link and selecting their class star. Paper copies of work packs can continue to be collected from the school office from Monday 18th Jan.

There continues to be a remote learning timetable for each class, which sets out the learning and makes clear what is being taught and when. It will also contain links to other remote contents from Oak Academy, the BBC, Teams meetings and other online resources. Where lessons are highlighted in yellow these will be part of the live teaching delivered in Teams sessions. This may be for an introduction or for feedback, the specifics of which will be made clear to pupils in individual sessions.

The plans now in place cover the next two weeks - the weeks commencing 18th and 25th January. As before, new plans and activities will be developed by staff for the week beginning Monday 1st February 2021 and will run up until half term. We will aim to share this with parents on Friday 29th January 2021. As ever, we continue to review and adapt our plans with the aim of making them as accessible and beneficial as possible to all our pupils. Please appreciate that it may be necessary to change or adapt our plans for a range of reasons - like in the eventuality of the snow day today!

You do not need to use any specific accounts to join these meetings, just a device connected to the internet. By following the above link, you will be able to use the online version of Teams and see individual staff and other children who are speaking. To enable the viewing of multiple people/children, download the free Teams app for your computer, phone, or tablet. More information on this can be found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/group-chat-software   . If you are using a mobile device reliant on a data plan, we may be able to help you access additional data from your current provider free of charge to facilitate remote leaning. Please contact school to discuss this.

Kind regards,
