We have clear new guidance from Sal Tariq, director, children and families and Councillor Jonathan Pryor, Executive Member for Learning and Skills.on Key Worker provisions in schools specifically ask that all pupils who can be kept at home, are kept at home.
The new guidance mentioned will mean that we will be reviewing the provision we can offer to pupils in school while also supporting remote learning for all pupils. While we really do appreciate the difficulties of working at home with children, this alone does not automatically meet the requirement for a Key Worker place in school. Please can all parents \ carers review their need for places so that we can ensure that those in greatest need can be accommodated and that numbers overall can be kept to the minimum level each day. This will help keep all in school as safe as is possible, allow us best support remote learning and hopefully contribute towards keeping the national lockdown in place for as short a time as possible.
