Clubs and Enrichment

At Manston Primary, we are proud to offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities that go beyond the classroom and inspire our pupils to explore, discover, and enjoy learning in different ways. All our after-school and lunchtime clubs are run voluntarily by staff and provided free of charge. Clubs are offered each term, and parents are notified by email or letter with information on how children can take part.

Clubs this year have included:

  • Football Club (supported by parent volunteer, Mr Wilkinson)

  • Art Club

  • Singing Club (with performances at the Cross Gates Christmas lights switch-on, local care homes, and Tesco)

  • Reading for Pleasure Club

  • TTRS / Homework Club

  • Year 6 Maths Booster Group

Music Enrichment

  • Ukulele lessons are delivered to all pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 on a termly rotation, giving every child the opportunity to learn a musical instrument as part of our wider curriculum.

  • Guitar tuition is also available in school through We Create Music. This is a paid service and parents can arrange lessons directly by emailing: admin@wecreatemusic.org

Special Enrichment Activities

  • Author visits from Kate Pankhurst and Dom Conlon via Leeds Library Service

  • PCSO-led assemblies on Halloween and firework safety
