School Meal Price Increase
We wanted to inform you of an unforeseen change in our school meal pricing that we have recently been made aware of by our catering agency.

As from 11th September, the cost of school meals will increase by 11 pence per day, bringing the new daily price to £2.55 per meal. This increase was not anticipated, and we understand that it may have an impact on your family's budget. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The decision to raise meal prices was made by our catering agency due to various factors, including rising food and operational costs. We remain committed to providing nutritious and balanced meals to our students, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure that the quality of the meals is maintained. Please note, if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or 2, meals are free under the Universal Infant Free School Meal Scheme, so a charge will not apply.

In light of this announcement and the current cost of living crisis, we wanted to share again with you the criteria for free school meal eligibility.

Your child can qualify for free school meals if you receive:

•     Universal Credit (and your net combined household income is less than £7,400 a year after tax)
•     Income Support, Pension Guarantee Credit, Income-based Job Seekers Allowance.
•     Income-related Employment Support Allowance
•     Child Tax Credit Only (With No Working Tax Credit) and your Annual Taxable Income does not exceed £16,190.

If you need any help with your application, please contact Mrs Milner who will be happy to assist you with your queries.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Kind regards,
James Clay
