Bewerley Park Outdoor Education Residential
At Manston Primary School, we believe in providing experiences that go beyond the classroom. Each year, our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils have the exciting opportunity to take part in a residential trip to Bewerley Park Outdoor Education Centre in the Yorkshire Dales.
This much-loved trip gives children the chance to challenge themselves, build resilience, and create unforgettable memories with friends.
What Do Pupils Do?
Our pupils typically take part in a wide range of adventurous outdoor activities, which may include:
- 🛶 Canoeing – learning to paddle and navigate the water
- 💦 Ghyll scrambling (gorge walking) – climbing through rocky streams and waterfalls
- 🧗 High ropes course – building confidence, balance and teamwork
- 🌲 Den building and shelter construction – using natural materials creatively
- 🚶♂️ Hill walking – exploring the Dales and developing orienteering skills
All activities are led by qualified instructors and designed to promote teamwork, independence, and outdoor learning.
