At Manston Primary, we believe that strong home–school communication is key part of every child’s success. We work hard to keep parents and carers informed, involved and supported throughout their child’s journey with us.
We use a variety of methods to ensure you receive timely and relevant information:
📱 Don’t forget to activate your Arbor account to ensure you don’t miss key information. Contact the office if you need your activation email re-sent.
We’re streamlining how we collect information and permissions by moving many forms online through Arbor. This makes things quicker, easier and more secure for families.
If you need support completing a digital form or using the Arbor app, the office team is always happy to help.
We know that open, respectful and honest communication is vital. Whether it’s sharing good news, discussing a concern, or simply checking in, we are here to listen and respond.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the school office or speak to a member of staff on the playground. We’re all in this together.
At Manston Primary, we are committed to clear, respectful and timely communication between school and home. Our Communication Policy outlines the expectations and standards that help ensure positive relationships and the smooth flow of information across our school community.
To ensure all parents and carers are well-informed about their child’s education, wellbeing, and school life.
To provide consistent communication channels that are efficient and accessible.
To foster respectful and solution-focused dialogue between home and school.
We aim to respond to parent communications within 2 working days (Mon–Fri, term time).
Urgent safeguarding concerns are prioritised and responded to as soon as possible.
Teachers are available for quick queries before or after school, but longer conversations should be arranged through the office.
We ask that all communication:
Is respectful and appropriate in tone
Focuses on partnership and solutions
Follows the right channels (see above)
Abusive or inappropriate communication will be escalated in line with our complaints or behaviour policy.
We regularly review our communication processes. If you have suggestions on how we can improve, we welcome your feedback via the office.
