Welcome Back

Good afternoon,
I hope that you are well. It was wonderful to see all our pupils back in school and enjoying their first day. On Friday, I will send our first newsletter of the year which will continue to include important information and updates, alongside pictures of what our pupils have been doing in the week. Please keep an eye out for this each week.
On Wednesday 15th September, we will be holding 'Meet the teacher' sessions for each class starting at 4:30pm and lasting around an hour. These sessions will share key information for the term and year ahead, as well as giving you the chance to speak to your child's class teacher. The meetings will be held in individual classrooms, with parents entering school in the same way that the children do in a morning. If you are unable to attend these meetings, please do not worry as we will be uploading all the information shared to the school website. Please let your child's class teacher know in person or via email, if you are going to attend this meeting so we have an idea of numbers.
Please find details below of PE days for all year groups:
  • REC - Thursday
  • Year 1 - Monday and Wednesday
  • Year 2 - Tuesday and Friday
  • Year 3 - Monday [Swimming] and Wednesday
  • Year 4 - Tuesday [Swimming] and Thursday
  • Year 5 - Tuesday and Friday
  • Year 6 - Monday and Tuesday
Children will need to wear their PE kit on these days. For children going swimming, they will need to wear their swimming costume/trunks under their school uniform. Mrs Cartwright will be sending more specific information home about swimming shortly.
Over the course of tomorrow and Friday, staff will be distributing the new PE kits out to children, ready for next week. Please can you send your child in with a carrier bag, so that these items can be sent home.
Also, on this Friday [10th September], we are having a visit from a mobile Climbing Wall for Year 3, 4, 5 and 6. They will also need to wear their PE kit for this. If they haven't received their PE top by Friday, please don't worry, just send them in some other appropriate sportswear.
Kind regards,
James Clay
