SATs week information

Dear Parents and Children of Year 6

As you all know, SATs are next week!

We are so proud of how hard the children have worked since September and we would like to thank you as parents for supporting them at all times.

Next week we are providing breakfast for all the children in Year 6 from 8.20 each day. They will be given a choice of: a bacon sandwich; a sausage baguette; or a veggie sausage baguette. We will also have fruit and pastries. This is to give them all the chance to relax and chat before the test. It is not compulsory – children can arrive any time up to the usual start time of 8.50am.

We will also be doing some mindfulness and calming yoga exercises before the tests to help the children prepare.

Children can bring in a small mascot or lucky charm to have on the desk if this will help them.

We would ask you to ensure that all children are in on time – we have to keep to strict timings for the tests. If you are having any problems about bringing your child to school, please let us know so we can help.

Timetable:

Monday 9th May: spelling punctuation and Grammar

Tuesday 10th May: Reading

Wednesday 11th May: paper 1 and paper 2 maths

Thursday 12th May: paper 3 maths

To Year 6:

Please can you all have a lovely relaxing weekend – get plenty of rest and good food too.

Every one of you deserves success – we know you can do it!

Remember – Nothing is impossible!

And also remember that SATS only measure a small part of who and what you are. You are all amazing children with incredible talents and skills in many areas.

Good luck!

Ms Roxby, Mrs Hall

PS the last maths booster will be on Wednesday 11th May.
