Welcome

Welcome to the Manston Primary School Web Site!

I hope you find our site informative and interesting. My hope is that it will reflect the excellent work of our children and provide you with a flavour of our thriving community school. These are exciting times for our school. I find myself in the desirable position of leading a happy, friendly school, with polite and well behaved pupils, a totally committed and dedicated team of staff, and all set in very enviable school grounds.

At Manston Primary, we recognise that every child has strengths. We aim to provide a wide range of opportunities and experiences, both within and beyond the classroom, so that children can discover what they are good at.

Our Vision Statement
At MPS we are striving as a team to provide outstanding learning opportunities for all, in order that everyone can fulfil their potential.
Aims
We believe that everyone should:-
·       Be eager and motivated to learn
·       Feel valued and trusted
·       Be independent lifelong learners
·       Take pride in our school
·       Feel safe and supported.

Little Stars – Big Achievements!

We strongly believe in the importance of self esteem and understand how this can be enhanced through success, enabling our children to more confidently tackle their challenges. Within lessons, we strive to offer varied, interactive opportunities so that all children can succeed to the best of their ability. Our extensive provision of extra curricular activities enables children to discover their talents and skills outside of the classroom. I believe that Manston Primary School is an excellent place for children to come and learn. It is without doubt a very special school with its own unique atmosphere. Above all else, we hope that our children look back at their time in our school with a real sense of achievement and enjoyment. When the time comes for them to move on, we want them to take away many special memories. We are very proud of our school and enjoy having the opportunity to show people around. If you would like to come and visit please don’t hesitate to get in touch. It would be a pleasure to meet you.

Equality – our aim

We are committed to ensuring equality of education and opportunity for all pupils, staff, parents and carers receiving services from the school, irrespective of race, gender, disability, faith or religion or socio-economic background. We aim to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which all those connected to the school feel proud of their identity and able to participate fully in school life.
The achievement of pupils will be monitored by race, gender and disability and we will use this data to support pupils, raise standards and ensure inclusive teaching. We will tackle discrimination by the positive promotion of equality, challenging bullying and stereotypes and creating an environment which champions respect for all. We believe that diversity is a strength, which should be respected and celebrated by all those who learn, teach and visit here.
