Monday 17th September

Dear Parents,

Jeans for Genes Day

As you may already know, this coming Friday 21st September will be Jeans for Genes Day. Children may wear their jeans and a T -shirt for a donation towards this very worthwhile cause. (The money goes to the charity that helps children born with a disability.) Thank you. Your support is much appreciated.

You will have noticed that over the weekend more has been done to the hill. However, it still needs a bit more soil around it before we can get it turfed – but we are getting there!

Mr Pickles

We welcome Mr Pickles today who will be covering for Mr Colley whilst he is on holiday for two weeks. Please be patient whilst he gets used to all the keys! Thank you.

Mobile Phones

Please note that only children in Year 6 (and possibly the occasional child in year 5) who walk to/ from school alone may bring their phone – which MUST then be handed in. Children who are accompanied by an adult DO NOT NEED to bring a mobile phone. Please also note that we cannot be held responsible if the phone goes missing and has not been handed in. Thank you for your co-operation.

Thank you for the Rag Bags that you have already kindly sent in. All bags earn your child 5 team points. (NB If you have lost your bag or require another one – I do have some spares, or alternatively any black bag will suffice.

Holidays in Term Time

Please to remind you that holidays in term time are not permitted by the government and I am unable to authorize them. (NB The authority may also fine the adults.)

Thank you for your donations so far for our Harvest display – please give whatever you can for the less fortunate in Leeds. Team points will be given for any donations. Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Pauline Quick
