Monday 15th July,

Dear Parents,

Reports

Thank you for collecting your child’s report on Friday. If you were not able to call by you may continue to collect them any time this week from your child’s teacher. If you would like a relative or friend to pick it up on your behalf, then please e-mail to give your permission. Thank you for your understanding with this requirement.

Healthy School Celebration Event

A big thank you to Miss Oddy, Lucy Pickersgill and Layla Mitchell from Year 4 who represented us at the Civic Hall on Friday and collected our Mindmate Friendly certificate and our Healthy Schools certificate. We are obviously very proud to have been awarded these certificates which will go up in the entrance hall.

Sports Afternoon

Thank you to those of you who joined us for our annual sports afternoon. It was lovely to see so many of you and I appreciate that some of you had taken time off from work to attend – so I’m really glad that the weather was favourable and that we didn’t have to cancel.

Year 6 Sleep Over

Well done to Year 6 on their sleep over on Friday night. Their behaviour was splendid and everyone had a great time. Thank you to staff who gave up their evening to enable this fun tradition to take place.

Reception and Key Stage 1 Concert

We look forward to Reception and Key Stage 1 Summer concert this Wednesday morning. It will start at 9.15am in the hall, so you are welcome to go and get a seat once you have dropped your child off. It will last approx. 30 minutes so we do hope that as many of you as possible will be able to make it – the singing practice sounds amazing!

Transition Day

Transition Day is this Thursday 18th July. This is when your child will spend the day with their new class teacher getting to know them and finding out the expectations of being in an older class. We hope that this eases any anxiety ready for September.

When children arrive in the morning they should line up in their new class lines ready to be collected. At the end of the day parents and carers will need to collect their child from the new classroom door. Thank you.

Reminder

Just a polite reminder that school closes on Wednesday 24th July at the earlier time of 2.30pm. Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Pauline Quick
