Monday 20th May

Dear Parents,

Family Disco

Thank you very much to those of you who joined us at our family disco last Friday. We had an amazing time, and my sincere thanks to staff who gave up their evening to enable it to be such a success.

Choir

Our school choir have been practising really hard recently and are about to perform at Leeds Town hall this Thursday evening. We are obviously all getting really excited – it’s a wonderful opportunity and we are really pleased to be part of this event.

Book Ceremony

Several children from Year 6 will be going with myself and Mrs Meah to a book launch in Pudsey on Tuesday. They will have the chance to meet the authors of some of the books that they have been reading and hopefully manage to get their autographs.

Polling Day

As you are aware the European elections are taking place this Thursday, and our school will again be used for polling purposes. For your reassurance security barriers will again be installed, the polling room will be locked and security officers will be on site.

Half Term Holiday

Just a reminder that we close on Friday for the half term holiday. School will re-open on Tuesday 4th June (as Monday 3rd is a Training Day for staff to start writing reports.)

Advanced Diary Dates

Saturday 22nd June – Our annual summer Fair from 11am – 2pm with refreshments available.

Wednesday 10th July – Sports Day (weather permitting)

Wednesday 17th July – Reception and KS1 concert at 9.15am (More details to follow)

School Lunches – Advanced Notice

For your information: -

From the 1st of July Leeds Catering Agency will be taking over the school lunch contract.  We will have an exciting new menu which will include, by popular demand, two roast dinners per week!

The new menu will be available on our web site from 24th June, and menu rotation dates are clearly marked on the top left for ease of use.  Our catering staff will move to the new company to ensure continuity, which is great as they know your children and their likes and dislikes, and means that Dianne will remain our cook.

Key Stage two children who bring a packed lunch are welcome to register for a school meal on the roast / fish and chip days – just contact Mrs Milner in the office to set up a meal pattern:

Tuesday and Friday - Roast dinner days

Wednesday - Fish and chips day

Thank you

Yours Sincerely,

Pauline Quick
