 Monday 25th March

Dear Parents,

Bewerley Park

Thank you very much to Ms Roxby, Miss Racster and Mrs Hall, who gave up their family evenings for three days last week to accompany a group of children to Bewerley Park on their residential. They all had a great time, with children very well behaved and a credit to their parents and the school.

Environmental Health

As you may be aware the environmental health undertakes spot checks of premises every now and again. They came to our kitchen last week and we are delighted to say that they gave us 5 stars – the highest award possible. So, you can rest assured that our kitchen premises are certainly up to scratch! Well done and thank you to Dianne and her team.

Pumps

Please may I request that you ask your child to bring home their pumps this holiday and check to see if any need replacing. Some of them are becoming a safety issue! Thank you.

Red Nose Day

Thank you very much indeed for your Red Nose day donations. We raised £196 for this very worthwhile cause.

New Head Teacher

Your new head teacher has now been officially appointed and I am pleased to be able to announce that his name is Mr James Clay. He is delighted to have been offered the post and we look forward to him visiting sometime after the holidays.

Easter Egg and Hat Competition

Our annual Easter egg competition has just been announced. In case you missed it, the challenge this year is to use an egg (hard boiled) to invent a “techno-egg.” Themes could include robots, machines or futuristic space – craft. Eggs may light up or move or both! Please bring your entries in on Thursday 18th April (but not before) when they will also be judged. NB There will be three prizes per class.

For those who are interested our annual Easter hat competition will also take place on the same day – with one prize per class.

We hope that you have fun entering!

End of Term

Just to remind you that school finishes at the earlier time of 2.30pm this Friday 29th March for the two week’s holiday.

School will re-open on Monday 15th April and then close again on Thursday 18th April for the Easter weekend re-opening on Tuesday 23rd April. Thank you.

Wishing you a very happy holiday from all the Manston staff.
