Monday 19th June

Dear Parents,

Governors

The governing body met last Thursday evening and discussed the Head teacher’s report. This included amongst other things the progress of children, attendance, security and finance. They also read all the recent sub- committee reports.

KS2 Musical Performance

Thank you to Miss Racster who organised the musical performance, which KS2 presented to KS1 last week. They played all sorts of instruments including recorders, tambourines and glockenspiels to name just a few. We were very impressed and look forward to their next production.

Choir

The choir have been practising hard and are due to sing at Leeds Town hall this coming Thursday evening. This is a very special event which I know many of you are looking forward to, including me! Thank you again to Miss Racster for all her work with the choir.

International Day

As you all know, International Day is today. Children will be learning about the various countries that our pupils have a connection with, and having fun at the same time. Thank you for your responses if you have taken an interest in visiting us on this very special day, and to Mrs Pennells for organising the day.

Year 2

A little while ago Year 2 wrote to the queen about events in her reign; so you can imagine their delight when a letter came back! It said thank you very much for their wonderful letters and the time and trouble that they had taken.

Summer Fair

Please do join us at our annual Summer Fair next Saturday 24th June. We will be open from 11am until 2pm with lots of exciting stalls. All proceeds will go to the school funds, which the school council are already thinking of how to spend!

Friday 23rd June – children who have brought in any item towards the fair will be permitted to wear non uniform. e.g.  a toy, some cakes (only on Friday please!) a bottle (glass ones must be brought by adults please) books, etc.

Please do support us and make our fair a great day for all. Thank you, hope to see you there and fingers crossed for a sunny day!

Yours sincerely,

Pauline Quick
