Thank you to parents who have e-mailed/ spoken to congratulate us. Staff at Manston Primary do work extremely hard and your kind words are very much appreciated.
Thank you to those of you who managed to join us for the Big Draw. Children had a splendid day and classes shared their work in assembly at the end of the day, so we could all see what each other had been up to.
If you are interested - Leeds City Art Gallery, which has just re-opened, has a free activity on over the half term holiday from Tuesday 24th to Sat 28th which is a drop in for families. You work with an artist to make a huge tent sculpture full of art experiments. It’s on from 11am – 4pm and sounds great fun if you have some time to spare. All welcome and no booking required.
Just a reminder that KS1 disco is on Wednesday from 4.45pm – 5.45pm and KS2 disco from 6pm – 7.15pm. Tickets only £2.
Costumes may be worn, but no face coverings at the KS1 disco and ALL children MUST be collected by an adult.
(NB Dance club will finish at the slightly earlier time of 4.15pm.)
Thank you for your kind donations. We are still accepting tins and packets of produce for our display. Our Harvest Festival assembly will be held on Thursday morning starting at 9.15am in the hall. Everyone is welcome, although there is limited seating, so first come first seated. Please note photos / videos are not permitted for safeguarding reasons. Thank you
School council will be holding a fruit sale on Friday and all items will be 20p.
We have some spare wooden pallets behind the bins if any parent would like one for bonfire night - do please help yourself.
Please to remind you that we are still looking for a parent governor to work with the rest of the team and to support the school. The closing date is this Friday, but interested applicants are welcome to come for a chat and to find out more about the role anytime this week.
School closes on Friday for half term at the usual time of 3.15pm and re-opens on Monday 30th October.
School closes at Christmas on Friday 15th December at the earlier time of 2.30pm and will re-open on Wednesday 3rd January 2018 with Tuesday being a training day.
