Monday 11th December
Thank you very much to those of you who joined us for our Christmas concerts either in school or at church; we hope that you enjoyed yourselves. The children performed very well and I’m sure that you were as proud of them as I was. Thank you to all the staff for working so hard on the preparations and in particular to Miss Racster for organising the choir. Thank you also for your kind donations to Crisis at Christmas, who collect for the homeless.
The school Christmas parties this coming week are as follows:-
Monday Year 5 and Year 6
Tuesday Year 3 and Year 4
Thursday Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
Just a reminder that Christmas lunch is being served on Wednesday 13th. Children may wear a Christmas jumper on that day should they wish. (The rest of their outfit should be school uniform please.)
Last Day of Term
Friday 15th December is our last day of term before the Christmas holiday. As you are aware we are closing extra early at 1pm in memory of Luke Glendenning, so that staff and pupils who wish to pay their respects, will be able to attend the funeral. Thank you for your understanding with this. It is very much appreciated.
If you need your child to remain until 2.30pm, please let your child’s teacher know as soon as possible, so that arrangements can be made. Thank you.
NB Christmas jumpers (only) may also be worn on the last day of term.
We hope that you all have a splendid Christmas with your families and a very Happy New Year.
NB. The new term will start on Wednesday 3rd January as Tuesday is a Training Day.
With very best wishes from all the Manston Staff.
