Monday 21st May

Dear Parents,

Royal Wedding Coffee Afternoon

Thank you very much for coming to our coffee afternoon on Friday – it was lovely to see so many of you. Thank you also for your generosity – you donated buns and then came back to buy them! To think that I was worried that there might not be enough cakes! Thank you so very much, and for your patience – we were packed out.

All proceeds from the coffee afternoon will go towards the MUGA, which is nearly complete. We just need the slide/ tunnel mound to be grassed over, and then to find some more money to fence around the new play area.

Year 6 and Year 2

Well done to Year 6 who survived their week of SAT’s having tried their very best. It’s the turn of Year 2 this week, although their overall level is decided not only on the test, but also on their work throughout the year.

Governors

The governors are meeting this coming Thursday to discuss the Head Teacher’s report, the budget and the sub- committee minutes.

If you are at all interested in becoming a governor and supporting the school – do please let me know as we are currently seeking an interested parent.

Walk to School Week

This week is walk to school week. Please try to support us as much as you can – we would love to achieve our target of 50% or more. Even if you have to come by car, get a bus or a taxi, please get dropped off a bit further away this week and walk the last part. It will help our target – and your health. Thank you.

Half Term

School closes at the usual time of 3.15pm this Friday for the half term holiday. We will re-open on Tuesday 5th June, as Monday is the last training day of the year.

Yours sincerely,

Pauline Quick

Head Teacher
